Piano concerts for children
Since 2003, the International Goslar Piano Feastival regularly offer school concerts for children and adolescents. The participants of the master class give age-appropriate concerts in the schools of Goslar and the surrounding area, which are expertly moderated by Marianne van Wezel or Hans Mohr; occasionally, the students also moderate their concerts themselves. Following the varied program, the students can ask questions about the works, the composer or the visiting students.
The idea for these school concerts dates back to the founding period of the "Kontaktstelle Musik - Stadtmusikrat Goslar" contact point in 2001: to introduce children and adolescents to classical music, giving them the opportunity to experience and get to know this music during their lessons to encourage them - at best - to learn an instrument themselves or even to attend a classical concert.
Since 2016 there is another project in cooperation with the Kreismusikschule Goslar: An Extra Piano Concerto for aspiring pianists (and interested children and adolescents) with piano workshop, quiz and more, in which students of the piano classes of the music school as well as participants The Goslar Piano Festival give a joint, moderated concert and then exchange. As an incentive, free tickets for the final concerts will be awarded to the young pianist.
At this point we would like to thank the company List in Goslar and the Regionalverband Harz for the support of these school concerts!
The participants of the Goslar Piano Festival regularly give moderated concerts in senior citizen facilities, which are very popular.
Through this extensive supporting program, 8 or 10 concerts were held every year in 10 days.
